Addie sent me an email this morning asking what i was doing this weekend. i told her i had plans for cousin's baby shower. she told me her aunt backed out of their (her and her mom) trip to Vegas and they need a third. after some hemming and hawing and IM'ing HM. it was a done deal. in two hours, i had a ticket, boarding pass, and the day off tomorrow.

definition: watching a movie with the karaoke machine your niece left at your house.

Woz came over last weekend and we finally watched watched Across the Universe. not bad. not bad at all. great soundtrack. Evan Rachel Wood.. her voice.. when she did "If I Fell"... like buttah!

anyways, HM had the idea that we amp it up a bit... with the karaoke machine and 2 mic’s! totally worth it! it takes it to a whole new level. i don’t think i can ever go back to watching a musical-ish type movie without the mic’s again.

next up: Purple Rain fo sho!

Dear S1,

through the years we've had our moments. moments we wanted to kill each other, moments of throwing sharp objects at each other, and moments we basically just wanted to strangle each other. HARD! but, we've also had moments of sisterly love. they've become more often in our your later years. you've become more accessible... or maybe it's just that you don't have as many friends any more so you call me more often. i'm not sure.

what i am sure of - i like being your sister now. i can't imagine you not being around... loud as you are. i freak out if i don't hear from you after a couple of days. i start calling your husband to see what he did with the body. i start to actually miss you. ick. i like that we're able to hang out and actually enjoy being with each other. i know you'll never go see live music with me and you understand that i hate malls, but we still manage to find something to do. pedicures come to mind.

i think we all know i'm not good with words and writing down what i really want to express, but just know that i have tears in my eyes right now just thinking of how much i love you and appreciate you (when you're not being a total beeeyoch). you're my big sister and my best friend (but don't tell Addie).

most awesomest birthday gifts ever!

my new shelves in the office/craft room closet!!! how awesome are they??? i need Woz to come over and "put" stuff where it goes now. i have no organization skills whatsoever. i need something besides crates, to put all the glitter and glue and stuff on.. easily accesible.

and my NEW PANTRY!!! and pantry door thingy S1 got me. i actually have room for stuff we don't even have yet!! she got me the door thingy and said i could get rid of my lazy susan's. hmmmm, i think i just might know where to put them now.

seriously tho, how amazing does that look?? she's like a machine!
